Our Mission
At Promise of Light, our mission is to build a compassionate and comprehensive care facility for medically fragile children in foster care. We believe in creating a nurturing environment that supports healing and stability for every child we serve.

THe Problem
Why does the world need Promise of Light?
Today, many children who enter the foster care system with medical needs find themselves without adequate care, particularly those who are medically fragile. Most foster homes are not equipped or licensed for these challenges. This is where general residential operations (GRO) play a crucial role in transforming foster care by providing trauma-informed care tailored to the needs of these vulnerable children.
What is the Promise of Light?
We will operate as a licensed GRO for foster children, focusing specifically on those with complex medical needs in Region 6 of Texas. Our 24/7 care model provides a safe and nurturing environment, focusing on trauma-informed care, where medically fragile children can heal, and when ready transition to forever homes.
